Second Harvest Heartland

Megastar Financial is pleased to be a sponsor of Second Harvest Heartland. Helping our neighbors find their next meal is important so that they may thrive at work, in the classroom, and in their community. Megastar is proud to say that our donation this year has provided 45,000 meals to those in need! Second Harvest Heartland is hard at work to end hunger through community partnerships. As one of the nation’s largest, most efficient, and innovative hunger relief organizations, they leverage their unique position in the emergency food chain to make an impact.

  • 1 in 8 Minnesotans are now experiencing hunger.
  • An additional 275,000 Minnesotans don’t know where their next
    meal is coming from due to COVID-19.
  • 112,000 more kids are now facing hunger in our state

Highland Friendship Club

Megastar Financial proudly supports the Highland Friendship Club (HFC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that its members have ample chances to build personal relationships, explore new interests, and form lasting friendships with people of all abilities.  Additionally, HFC provides parents and caregivers with options, support, and hope!

Megastar’s donation will help provide funding towards HFC’s initiative to serve individuals with disabilities from teens through adulthood by providing a range of opportunities to develop lifelong skills, friendships, and connections within their community.

Special Olympics Minnesota

Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community. We aim to build a culture that accepts and welcomes every single person regardless of ability or disability. We are helping to make the world a better, healthier, and more joyful place—one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time.

Through sports, our athletes celebrate their abilities, not their disabilities. Their world opens with acceptance and understanding, while becoming confident and empowered by their accomplishments. They make new friends, joining the most inclusive community on the planet—a global community that’s growing every day.

Megastar Financial recognizes the importance of the work Special Olympics does. Through our contribution, we can help Special Olympics provide their athletes with a wide range of training, competitions, health screenings, and fund-raising events.

Northeast Contemporary Services  Inc.

For over 50 years, Northeast Contemporary Services, Inc. (NCSI) has been providing attention and customized support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they explore and participate in employment, education, and independent living skill-building. Megastar Financial realizes the importance of helping special needs adults as they age and the importance of providing them with services on a schedule that meets their needs through the aging process. Through our contribution, NCSI will be able to purchase much-needed supplies, office, and program equipment.
